Regenerative Cellular Tissue
What is regenerative cellular tissue? Regenerative cellular tissue refers to mesenchymal cells that have been collected from the Wharton’s Jelly in donated umbilical cords. These cells are administered via injection into damaged tissue to help repair and replace injured cells and facilitate the healing process. At our clinic, we use regenerative medicine that focuses on mesenchymal cells to help relieve pain and increase mobility from a range of different conditions. We will design a specialized treatment program just for you to address the cause of your pain and give you the results you’ve been looking for.
What Are Stem Cells?
Stem cells are undifferentiated cells in your body, and they can potentially develop into many different cell types in your body.
These cells as your internal repair system because they can divide to form specialized cells such as cartilage, muscles, ligaments, and more.
Treatment with stem cells is ideal for individuals experiencing back pain, tendonitis, ligament injuries, shoulder rotator cuff tears, tennis elbow, hip bursitis, plantar fasciitis, and more.
Types of Stem Cells
Your body contains a large number of stem cells, and they reside in many areas. For treatment purposes, doctors collect samples from a few key spots. For stem cell therapy, specifically, stem cells are widely collected from adipose tissue and bone marrow. We do not practice stem cell therapy, nor do we use these types of cells.
Adipose tissue stem cell therapy and bone marrow stem cell therapy utilize stem cells harvested from your fat and your bones, respectively. Both of these samples yield older stem cells because they are the age of the patient. Adipose tissue stem cells are harvested from your fatty tissue. Since fat is a storage space for your body’s amassed toxins, you may be increasing your chances of experiencing an adverse reaction with this type of therapy.
Your bone marrow is also a viable source of stem cells, but the extraction process is painful. It involves drilling a hole into your hip bone and extracting stem cells with a large needle. Not only is this treatment excruciating, but it's an invasive surgery that increases your risk of adverse effects like an infection.
Regeneration Using Treatments Containing Stem Cells and Other Growth Factors
We use injections of Wharton's jelly-derived mesenchymal stem cells. Wharton’s jelly is a birth tissue inside umbilical cords. It contains young regenerative cells in abundance, as well as cytokines, proteins, growth factors, peptides, and collagens.
This regenerative cellular tissue is safe to collect and use as a therapy. The mother and child are closely monitored during C-section births when umbilical cords are collected, and this tissue rich in healing agents is typically discarded anyway.
Our treatments are minimally invasive and can be completed in-office in less than an hour as an out-patient procedure. There is no surgery, hospital stay, recovery time, or prescription medication needed. Many of our clients in Jupiter, Florida and surroundings are typically able to return to work the next day or after an injection.
